We are only a small group of the students that attend URI, and although we are studying different things, we are all here for the same reason, a good education. Over this semester our class will have the opportunity to bond over our same interests and majors.

In our class, many of us are quite interested in education. It is fascinating to see the different areas of education that some chose and for what reason. For example, our class has focuses in Math, History, English, Literature, and Spanish just to name a few. Even though this is a class about education, we still have a diverse selection of majors within our class. Some students that are not necessarily majoring in some form of education may just be interested in it.

The greater part of the majors interested in education, want to work with kids simply because they love being around them. To be a teacher it's practically part of the job requirement. Teachers are also really helpful and want to have an impact on others. Those specific reasons are why most of our class wants to become teachers.

The great thing about our class is that even though there is some variation among the majors, we all basically are interested in education. ANother thing is, we all chose our majors for different reasons, but in the end, we all have the same goal; to leave here and be educators about something.
